Leonard A. Corvelli

Leonard A. Corvelli, 101, died September 10, 2015, in his Wyomissing residence. He was the widower of Mary (Borgese) Corvelli; they were married on September 14, 1946. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Daniel and Marie (Renzi) Corvelli. A decorated and disabled war veteran, Leonard served his country with honor during WW II in the US Army signal corps. He was employed by the Reading Post Office for many years. A devoted Catholic, Leonard was a member of St. Ignatius RCC, Whitfield. Leonard was a top notch handyman and woodworker. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather is survived by his daughters, Nina, wife of Eugene Quaglia, Reading; and Marie Corvelli, Wyomissing. Two sisters, Mary Pippi, Baltimore, MD and Josephine Cavanna, Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Bernadette, wife of Chris Grasso and Daniel, husband of Amanda Quaglia and one great-grandson David Leonard Quaglia also survive him. He was predeceased by eight siblings, Albert, William, John, Daniel, Joseph, Sylvia, Agnes and Margaret. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. in St. Ignatius Church, with burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Edward J.
