Germaine G. Berube, 98 of Newark, Delaware died Sunday at her home. She was the wife of the late Wilfred E. Berube. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Claudia (Benoit) LaGueux. Germaine lived most of her life in Pawtucket until moving to Delaware in 2001.
Germaine was an avid bridge and poker player and communicant of Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish (formerly St. Cecilia Church) in Pawtucket.
She is survived by her children, Paul Berube and his wife Julia of Pennsylvania, Daniel Berube and his partner Wanda of Florida and Louise (Berube) Frese of Texas; a brother, Norman LaGueux of Pennsylvania; a sister, Pauline Boucher of Tiverton; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Germaine was the sister of the late Conrad LaGueux.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church, Rumford, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
