Blacksburg -- James Robert Hughes, 69, of 380 Martin Hills Road, passed away Sunday, October 9th, 2016, at Mary Black Health System - Gaffney. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Hughes and Sally Campbell Jones. Mr. Hughes retired from the US Navy and served in Viettnam He was a member of Palmyra United Methodist Church of Palmyra, VA. Surviving Mr. Hughes is one brother, John L.
