Kenneth Joseph Cooley, Sr., 64, husband of Marsha Ellis Cooley, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Verner J. Cooley and the late Ethel Nicholas Cooley Pritchard. Mr. Cooley was a member of Harmony Church. He retired from Eaton Cutler-Hammer after more than thirty years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years; two children, Wendy Ingram Waynick (Tripp) of Sumter, and Kenneth Joseph Cooley, Jr. (Chelsie) of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Kyndal Waynick, Mary Ellis Waynick, Harry Waynick, Ellis Harper Cooley, and Nathan Harris; two brothers, Phil Cooley (Jane) of Sumter, and Doug Cooley (Ruth) of Matthews, NC.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Cooley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Church with the Rev. Drew Choate and the Rev. Lee Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Church and other times at the home.
