Sherry Strong Hoffman, 69, died Saturday, January 07, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born January 2, 1948, in Watseka, IL, she was a daughter of the late Harold Strong and the late Mildred Thomas Strong. She was an interior designer. Survivors include a son, John Hoffman (Cindy) of Sumter; two grandsons, Evan Hoffman and Zac Hoffman; a brother, Steven T. Strong (Patricia) of Lowell, IN; three sisters, Rosemary Estes (William) of Goodland, IN, Cynthia Haines of Kentland, IN, and Robin Bittman (Erwin) of St. Anne, IL; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Sumter Family YMCA, 510 Miller Rd., Sumter, SC 29150.
