Mr. Glenn D. Jones passed peacefully from this life in his sleep Jan. 10, 2017 in the home of his daughter, Theresa Karam in Chesterfield Twp. MI. Glenn was born in Cookeville Tennessee. Dec. 19, 1931. He was the son of the late Haskell and Pansy (Buckner) Jones. Glenn moved to Detroit in 1950 and enjoyed his work at Edward C. Levy Company as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. After retirement, he enjoyed taking care of his pets, taking leisurely drives along the lake and dining out with his wife. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 65 years, Robbie (Buckner) Jones, Daughters Theresa (Charles) Karam and Sheila (Dennis) Doebler; two grandchildren Joshua (Bonnie) Karam and Michael (Stephanie) Kerr. 3 great grandchildren, Audrey Karam, Anna Karam and Lucas Kerr. Glenn is also survived by brothers Robert (Patricia) Jones of Cookeville, Tennessee and Norman (Gwen) Jones of Crossville Tennessee. Mr. Jones predeceased in death by his parents, brothers, Willie Frank Jones, Horace Jones, Paul Jones, C.J Jones, and James Jones. Sisters Avannah (Jones) Pointer, Beauton (Jones) Morphew and Joyce (Jones) Haney. Funeral Services for Glenn D. Jones, 85, of Grosse Pointe Park MI. will be held Sunday, Jan 15, 2017 beginning at 3 pm from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Sunday, January 15, from 12 Noon until the time of service.
