Martin Wheeler Cash, Sr., age 66, of Kingston, passed away at his home Saturday morning, March 7, 2015. Martin was a wonderful husband to Diana, a wonderful dad to Marty & Stephanie and a great & loving grandfather to Jordin, Abbie & Jarrett Puckett. Martin was a faithful member & Deacon of New Midway Baptist Church in Kingston. He was a Safety Officer for the Kingston Fire Department and a Training Officer for the Kingston Police Department. He was also Chief Deputy at Morgan County Sheriff’s Department for several years and is best described as a volunteer, giving one hundred percent. Martin joined the Tennessee National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a true public servant, patriot and longtime member of the Sons of the Revolution. Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Sanctuary of New Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Garrett, Robert Puckett and Howard Huffine officiating.
