Vaughn (Sonny) McBee-age 83 of Luttrell passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was reunited with his loving wife, Edna (Savage) McBee on their 65th wedding anniversary. He was an active member of Mountain View Church of God, Luttrell. Preceded in death by wife, Edna (Savage) McBee; parents, Harvey and Edith McBee; sister, Carolyn Gibson. He is survived by his children; Harvey (Darlene) McBee of Washburn, Rev. Ronnie (Connie) McBee, Anna (James) Paul, Gene (Carolyn) McBee, all of Luttrell; Bonnie (Larry) Lay of Washburn. Eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one due on the 26th of December. Brother, Paris (Helen) McBee of Corryton; sisters, Betty (Jim) Rutherford of Knoxville; Louise Phillips of Kokomo, Indiana; brother-in-law, Jim Gibson of Knoxville; special friend, Melba Lawson; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Tennova Hospice for their excellent care and a very special thank you to Elizabeth Anthony. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Ray Chandler and his pastor, Rev. Lewis Beeler officiating with music by Rev. Jerry, Carolyn and Mark Epperson. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Grandsons and Great-grandsons. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M.
