Benny Jimenez, Jr. 75, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Ambler Baptist Church with Eddie Puga officiating, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Mr. Jimenez was born August 23, 1941 in Abilene, Texas to Benito and Isabell (Martinez) Jimenez, Sr. He worked for Mack Eplen as a Market Manager for thirty years. He worked for the Abilene Independent School District for fifteen years. He was one of Abilene’s finest scratch golfer’s, with a handicap of three. He would always say that “shooting a seventy-three was a bad day”. He was also a past Scout Master. He was a member of Ambler Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Cruz. Two sons; Freddy Jimenez and wife Tammy and Joe David Jimenez. Three grandchildren; John and wife Sam, Denise and husband Mitchelle and Tanya. Four great-grandchildren; Kadence, Payton, Logan and McKinzie.
