David L. Cvijic

David L. Cvijic, 72, of Hummelstown, passed away on December 8, 2018, at his home. <br> Born in Harrisburg on July 16, 1946, and raised in Steelton, he was the son of Peter Paul and Burdell Alma Loeper Cvijic. <br> Dave retired as a Head End Technical Supervisor from Comcast Cable. He was a 1964 graduate of Steelton High School. Dave was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He volunteered his time as a driver for the Elder Express in Hummelstown. Dave was a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress and enjoyed bowling on a league at the Trindle Bowling Center, New Cumberland. He always enjoyed woodworking, watching sports, doing home improvements, and working in his yard. <br> Dave is survived by his beloved, Virginia L. “Ginger” Cvijic; one son, Christopher David Cvijic husband of Heather A. of Baltimore, MD; two step-sons, Paul Wilbur Renard III husband of Maria L. of Manchester Borough, and Troy Anthony Renard of Camp Hill; four grandchildren, Paul W. Renard IV, Sara L. Renard, Tyler G. Renard, and Madyson N. Renard; one sister, Judy Galen; and his loyal Yorkie Terrier companion, Misty.<br> He was preceded in death by a brother, William Cvijic.<br> Graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 11, 2018, at 1:00 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Those attending are asked not to arrive at the cemetery until 12:45 PM.<br> Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.<br> In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042; or to the American Heart/Stroke Association, Capital Region, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.<br> Online condolences may be shared at www.trefzandbowser.com
