Services for Mr. John F. Land, 93, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. James Massey officiating. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery. Mr. Land passed away January 14, 2017, in a Tyler hospital. He was born July 27, 1923, in Grand Saline, to John Foster & Ida Branson Land. He spent most all of his life in Grand Saline where he was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, W.A. "Dub" Land and J.V. "Sandy" Land; three sisters, Ida Jean Land, Katherine Land and Martha Jackson; son-in-law, Jeff Ivy; and granddaughter, Jennifer Ivy. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Juanice Land of Grand Saline; two daughters, Jean Carnes and husband Mike of Grand Saline and Judy Ivy of Grand Saline; sister, Doris Dickerson and husband Jerry of Grand Saline; four grandchildren, Mandy Carnes, Josh Carnes and wife Kristen, Jason Ivy and wife Kelly, and Jana Ivy; two great-grandchildren, Matty Ivy and Eli Ivy; and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the organization of your choice. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
