Douglas Wayne Walton, 70, of Mexia passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Waco. Doug was born December 30, 1946 in Odessa to Douglas and Betty Smith Walton. He had lived in the Mexia area most of his life where he was in the construction contracting business most of that time. Doug leaves behind his mark on many building projects in Mexia. Survivors include his sons, Ronnie and wife Lisa, Richard and wife Tomell and Brandon and wife Brittany,11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda, Shelia and Regina. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Greenwood cemetery in Teague with the Reverend Marcus Sheffield officiating.
