Cecilia P. Schaefer, born August 30, 1929 in St. Hedwig, Texas went to be with her Lord on November 2, 2016 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and George Zaiontz and brother, George Zaiontz, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Wallace Schaefer; sons, Ronald Schaefer (Sharon) and Kenneth Schaefer (Cheryl); daughters, Deborah Davis (Mark) and Diane Bordovsky (Bruce); sisters, Irene Carroll and Ann Gieniec; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Cecilia was strong in her Catholic faith and was a member of the Rosary Society. A special thank you to the nuns and staff at St. Francis Nursing Home where she lived for the past year and a half. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas with the Rosary being recited at 7:00pm.
