On Wednesday, February 8, 2017 Gerald Rakowitz passed away at home in Adkins, Texas at the age of 54. Gerald was born on June 24, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas to August Rakowitz and Elizabeth Muehl Rakowitz. On February 23, 1985 Gerald married Sharon Foster in San Antonio. Gerald worked as a Supervisor for International Paper for 33 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vivian Maisano. Gerald will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Sharon Rakowitz; daughters, Nicole St. Julian and husband Toney, and Brittany Buehring and husband Justin; grandchildren, Denton Buehring and Cole St. Julian; sister, Linda Kelley; brother, Michael Rakowitz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm with Deacon Rick Coronado.
