Karen Parr

Mrs. Karen Dale Parr, age 61, of Covington, died Friday, November 25, 2016, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor. She was the wife of Stuart Allen Parr. Mrs. Parr was born November 28, 1954 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Earl Lee Brown and Pauline Cash Brown. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking for her family. Karen also enjoyed going to amusement parks and car shows. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Parr is survived by a son, Kevin Lee Parr of Covington; a daughter, Missy Lynn McGuire of West Virginia; four grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Brown and wife, Vicky and Earl Lee Brown, Jr. and wife, Mae; a sister, Pam Douglas and husband, Vaughn; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November30, 2016, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
