Audrey Rife

Mrs. Audrey Lynn Hess Rife, age 40, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Thursday (December 15, 2016). Born November 22, 1976 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Hazel L. Sharp Hess and the late Ronnie L. Hess. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1994 graduate of Honaker High School. She had formerly been employed as a substitute teacher, working at Honaker High, Honaker Elementary, Swords Creek Elementary, and Given Elementary schools. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lee and Julie Sharp, and one aunt, Nancy Dye. Survivors include her husband of twenty-two years, Randall Rife of the home; one daughter, Sierra Rife and fiancé, Jim Rickman; her mother, Hazel L. Hess and Jerry Meadows of Swords Creek; one sister, Cindy Ball and husband, Chadrick of Honaker; step-sister, Janie Mullis; paternal grandparents, Rev. Holland and Ettie Hess; Nana’a babies, Christian Ball, Charity Ball, Michael Mullis, Haley Mullis, Brittany Dye, and Daisy; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Chester Ball, Rev. David Perkins, and Rev. James Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Chadrick Ball, Jim Rickman, Tyler Perkins, Benny Horn, Cody Hubbard, D.J. Meade, James Keen, Alvin Harris, Hunter Ball, and Joey Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Ball, Michael Mullis, Doug Dye, Jonathan Honaker, David Honaker, Josh Waldron, Donnie Rife, Dakota Ball, Bobbie Meadows, and Richard Perkins. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday, where an evening service will be conducted both evenings at 7:00 PM.
