Mr. Bobby Eugene Crockett, age 63, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Tuesday (December 6, 2016) at his home. Born March 3, 1953 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Inez Byrd Crockett of Honaker, Virginia and the late John D. Crockett, Jr. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled coal miner, having thirty one years of service to Pittston Coal Company. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 1760. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-four years, Debra Crockett and one sister, Debbie Stevens. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one daughter, Jennifer Owens and husband, David of Honaker, Virginia; three sisters, Donna Barton and husband, Denver of Davenport, Virginia; Shari Cole of Honaker, Virginia and Tammy Cook and husband, Jesse of Florida; one brother, John D. Crockett, III and wife, Melinda of Springfield, Tennessee; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Sue and Donnie Deskins, Freddie Kyle and Betty Martin, Ricky Edward Lester, Ronald Dean Lester; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chester Ball and Rev. Denver Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Martin Cemetery at Stinson Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Denver Barton, Anthony Barton, D.J.
