Mr. Eddie Allen Smith, age 48, of Drill, Virginia, passed away Saturday (November 12, 2016) at his home. Born November 4, 1968 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Kirby Allen and Loretta Ann Johnson Smith. A lifelong resident of the area, he was employed as a well tender for G & R Gas. He enjoyed mechanic work, truck pulls, but most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Roy and Hazel Johnson, and paternal grandparents, Carson and Dixie Smith. Survivors include two children, Tiffany Smith and boyfriend, Justin Baldwin of Drill and Kody Smith of Drill; his girlfriend of eight years, Renee Charles; the mother of his children, Mary Smith; one sister, Ruth Ball and husband, David of Drill; one brother, Jerry Smith of Drill; special friend, David Street; and three nephews, Austin Ball, Jerry Allen “Bub” Smith, and Cameron Houston. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin Cemetery on Stinson Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be P.J. Keen, Oggie Blankenship, Tony Blankenship, Jack Ward, Chris Brown, Brandon Baldwin, and Frank Ball. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin, Keith Stiltner, Gary Reynolds, James Price, Billy Price, Bill Dye, Ryan Anthony “Bisket” Hess, Timmy Stiltner, and Taulbee Lester.
