Evon Darlene Pruitt Williams, age 49, of Raven, Virginia, passed away Sunday (October 30, 2016). Born April 15, 1967 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Estell “E.C.” Pruitt of Tazewell, Virginia and Donna T. Pruitt of Raven, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1985 graduate of Richlands High School and attended the Church of Christ. She was an employee of Food City in Claypool Hill, Virginia. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ashley Danielle Shortridge, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Lorine Brown, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Rosella Pruitt. In addition to her parents, survivors include one daughter, Morgann Brittney Williams of Johnson City, Tennessee; one son, Ryan Houston Williams of Johnson City, Tennessee; one sister, Penny Lynn Cook of Raven, Virginia; one brother, Stephen Scott Pruitt of Richlands, Virginia; two nephews, Justin Scott Collins and Andrew Arthur Collins; two nieces, Mollie Lorine Collins and Madison Beth Cook also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Grady McGlothlin, Rev. Charlie McGlothlin, and Rev. Dannie Short officiating. Interment will follow in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Justin Collins, Andrew Collins, Chris Williams, Greg Williams, Jason Boswell, and Greg McGlothlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Collins, Payton Collins, Berklei Collins, and Mark Bullion. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
