Mrs. Jeraline Ella Whited, age 76, of the Lynn Springs section of Swords Creek, Virginia, gained her wings on Monday (February 13, 2017) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born November 7, 1940 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Molly Belle Wilson Stiltner. She was a lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay L. Whited, four brothers, Howard, Ernie, Ralph and G.C. Stiltner, and three sisters, Beverly Ann Shortridge, Dorothy Wilkerson, and Ester Hess. Survivors include four children, Nancy Wyatt of Lynn Springs, Henry Jay Whited of the home, Donnie Edward (Chico) Wade and wife, Carolyn of Richlands, and Kathy Jean Sayers of Lynn Springs; two grandsons, Clayton Richard Wyatt, II and Jay L. Randall Sayers; three sisters, Shirley P. Blankenship of Honaker, Betty Joe Boyd and husband, Richard of Page, and Judy Jennette Coleman and husband, Donald of Winston Salem, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
