Willard Cook

Willard Cecil Cook, age 75, of Meadowview, Virginia passed away Friday (December 16, 2016) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born May 12, 1941 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Dorsey and Nora Stevens Cook. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of the Highway of Holiness Church in Glade Spring, Virginia. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Cook; one sister, Margie McGlothlin and one niece, Shirley Kay Cook. Survivors include one brother, Dee Cook and wife, Joanne of Meadowview, Virginia; one sister, Ollie Mae Wolford and husband, Robert of Abingdon, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tracy Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery at Combs Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jeff Cook, Jerry Cook, Little Dee Cook, Brian Cook, Eddie Harrison and Earl Thomas.
