Obituary
It is with great sadness, the family of Clisby O. “C.O.” Lockhart, 77, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, announces his passing on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Born in Buchanan, Va., C.O. was the son of the late Henry and Pearl Lockhart. He worked for the railroad, at Fruit Growers Express, Alexandria, Va., and Amtrak, Union Station, Washington, D.C., for a total of 37 years. C.O. was a talented carpenter, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting and spending time at the beach with Marie.
C.O. is survived by his wife, Marie Fuller Lockhart; children, Stephen Lockhart (Donna) and Kimberley Martin (Jimmy); brother Obia “O.B.” Lockhart (Barbara); sister Geneva Hess (Bryant); grandsons, Bradley Fraser (Jaryd) and Hunter Lockhart and great-grandchildren Beau and Josey Fraser.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Lockhart, Bradley Fraser, Harvey Lockhart, Greg Lockhart, Richard Jackson, and Foster Fuller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Lovins, Dwight Jackson, Johnny Clevinger, David Fuller, and Hunter Lockhart.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016, in the Owens Funeral Service chapel with the Reverend Vonley Pruitt and Brother Roby Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Va.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. before the service.
