Donald Lewis Cassell Jr., 75, of Cleveland, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. Born in Dante, Va., on November 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Estelle Amburgy Cassell and Donald Cassell Sr. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Highlands Community Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Leanna Cassell.

Survivors include his daughter, Lori Clarke; granddaughter Kasidee Clarke, both of Johnson City, Tenn.; son, Donald L. Cassell III, of Dallas, Texas; sister, Johnsey Lambert and husband Don of Abingdon, Va.; brothers, James Cassell of Kingsport, Tenn. and Danny Cassell of Oceanside, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 2 p.m., in the Owens Funeral Service chapel with Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating.
