Jerry Kenneth Wright, 71, of Wise, Va., formerly of Castlewood, Va., passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Norton, Va. Born in Raysal, West Virginia, on August 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Dennis and Lora Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Castle Wright on July 14, 2011; granddaughter, Alyssa Cheyanne Baker; sister, Charlotte Wright and brothers, Doug Wright, Jack Wright and Bobby Rambo.

Survivors include his daughter, Dedra Baker of Norton; four grandchildren, Brandon Keith, St. Paul, Morgan Engle and husband Nick, St. Paul, Asia Hobbs and husband Ryan, Coeburn, and Kain Baker, Norton; three great grandchildren, Cash Engle, Nora Engle and Avery Hobbs and one great grandson on the way; brothers, Fred Wright and wife Judy, Bristol, Va., and Gene Wright and wife Linda, St. Paul; sister, Gaye McCoy, Abingdon; Va. and sisters-in-law, Carol Wright, Castlewood, Linda Castle, Castlewood and Jean Stevens, Indiana.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood with Larry Owens officiating.
