Geraldine Fisher

Geraldine “Gerrie” Virginia Fisher, 77, of Winchester passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at her home. Gerrie was born May 18, 1939 in Frederick County, VA; the daughter of the late Harry and Hilda Catlett. She worked for 20 years at Capital Records and another 10 years at VDO. She was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge and Little Mountain United Methodist Church. Gerrie loved to “dance”, “sing” and pose for pictures, LOL. She married George Fisher on February 13, 1988 in Winchester. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Boone Welch of Winchester, Angela Mobley and her husband Max of Frederick Co., Rena Kitts of Bunkerhill, WV and Valeria Skaggs and her husband John of Cabin Creek, WV; grandchildren, Chris, Crystal, Ashley, Brian, Michelle, Marcus, Amber, Samantha, Matthew, John Jr. and Danny; sixteen great grandchildren and brother, Richard Catlett. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Catlett and Harold Catlett and her sister Phyllis Petry. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Penny Pelter officiating. Burial will follow at Little Mountain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Boone, Brian Boone, Marcus Mobley, Matthew Skaggs, Tanner Boone and Chris Painter.
