Shirley Hill Utterback, 81, of Winchester, Virginia, died November 22, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1935 in Winchester, the daughter of the late Charles and Genieva Hill. She was a member of Fairpark Baptist Church as well as the Elks Club. Shirley retired from Wells Fargo Bank and then later she became the co-owner along with her sister of Water Street Deli in downtown Winchester. She loved NASCAR but family was everything to her. Shirley married Carlton Lee Utterback December 2, 1961 in Loudoun County. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Roach of Corriganville, Md; two sons, Carlton Lee Utterback, II and his wife Karen of Springfield, VA and Michael Scott Utterback of Winchester; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two sisters, Peggy Eastep of Winchester and Faye Hayden of Stephens City, VA. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA. Memorial contributions may be left in the name of Shirley Utterback to the Kidney Foundation or to the Berryville Baptist Church.
