Ed Hinderer, age 92, of East Wenatchee, WA, passed away peacefully, surrounded
by family, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at his residence in East Wenatchee. Ed
was born on April 28, 1924, in Waterville, WA to parents, Paul Hinderer and
Vera Stotts. He spent his childhood and attended Waterville High School. Ed
worked the family wheat ranch and in the off season, he was a bull rider with
the rodeo. He devoted his life to his loving wife of 68 wonderful years,
Pauline Huckins, married October 25, 1947. Together, they raised and are
blessed with four beautiful daughters: Jean (Rick) Wendt, Shelly (John)
Schott, Randi (Roy) Cates, and Paula (Jon) Smith. Ed served as a lifetime
member of the Eagles and an 18 year member with the Moose Lodge, owned and
operated his own logging business and was a gas and oil tank driver.
He is survived by his wife, Polly; sister, Sandy Schmaltz; brother, Roy
Hinderer; four daughters, seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 11
great-great-grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and
Vera Hinderer; his sisters, Barb, Pauline, and Maxine; and his brother, Arnie
Hinderer.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are assisted by Telford’s
Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
