Leonard W. Regan was born August 3, 1918, to John and Florence Regan in Vanguard, Saskatchewan, Canada. He passed peacefully at the age of 98, with
family at his side, on Sunday November 13, 2016 in Waterville, WA. He spent his early years growing up in Cashmere and Wenatchee, WA.
While working as a lumberjack, he was inducted into the U.S. Army in November of 1942. He served in many foreign theaters, earning medals including a Good
Conduct Medal and Expert Marksman with the M-1 rifle, until his honorable discharge in November of 1945. After returning home from serving in WWII, he
met and married Minnie Belle Sharp. The couple raised seven children while he was employed at E.T. Pybus, a Wenatchee metal fabrication shop, where he
assisted in building and installing parts for many projects, including the construction of Rock Island and Grand Coulee Dams. After retiring, he lived in
various locations in central Washington State, on or near the Columbia River, where he could pursue and enjoy his passion for fishing and the great
outdoors. He was often accompanied on these fishing forays with family members.
Leonard is survived by his son, Bob Regan (Myrna) of Waterville, WA; his daughters: Becky Irmer (Neil) of Waterville, WA, Kathy Shaw (Charlie) of Palm
Springs, CA, Amber Ball (Symon) of East Wenatchee, WA, Dixie Regan of Wenatchee, WA, Donna Regan of East Wenatchee, WA, and Bernadette Beach (Gary)
of Everett, WA; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; wife; and infant son.
A celebration honoring Leonard’s life will be held Friday, November 25, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, 711 Grant Road, East
Wenatchee, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Leonard’s name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley,
East Wenatchee, WA.
