Thula "Dean" Murray Obituary

Thula Dean Murray, 92, more affectionately known as “Dean”, passed away on November 27, 2016 at Central Washington Hospital surrounded by family. Dean was born September 9, 1924 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Susie and Charles Osborn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester “Chet”, her parents and her brother, Charles. Chet and Dean were married June 6, 1946 after meeting incidentally at the Red River Army Depot military installation in Texarkana, Texas. Love bloomed across the ocean as Chet served in the Army, stationed in Guadalcanal. In January 1947, they moved to Wenatchee where they enjoyed family and friends for all their years. Dean loved family gatherings, especially with her children, Linda Wagner (Gary), Rick (Judy) and Ed. Grandchildren Maegan, Amanda, Tammy and Chad were the light of her life. Dean was a great cook (everyone loved her pies!) and delighted in caring for her Yorkie, Koh. Many may remember her from her days working at both the old and new Wenatchee High School. Others may remember her and Chet as devoted members of the First Presbyterian Church of Wenatchee. She will be terribly missed by her family, but all rejoice that she has joined Chet with our Lord Jesus in Heaven. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in honor of Dean to a charity of your choice. Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee is in charge of the arrangements.
