Helen Wolf Obituary

Born in Merrill, Michigan on the family farm. She was the 7th of 8 children. Like many men and women of her generation, she served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Women Air Corp as a M.A.S.H. nurse in New Guinea and the Philippines. With the war over, she returned to Michigan to work in a Saginaw area Catholic Hospital. A blind date set her life in a different direction as she joined Kenneth Wolf, a career Air Force pilot. They traveled to Rapid City, South Dakota and she started her life as a wife and mother to 8 children. Following in the military tradition, the family transferred to various destinations around the United States including Hawaii. This family’s ethos continues to be “BE KIND, STICK TOGETHER, FAITH IS IMPORTANT”. She is survived by her children, Janice (Rob) Kampbell; Susan (Dan) Carbone; Mary (Dan) Tharp; Ann (Bill) Dodge; Margo Wolf (Len Shields); Gerald (Anne) Wolf, Lisa Denham and Kevin Wolf.
