Life Story for Marie Walker Marie H. Walker (Kucich), age 79, passed away on February 25, 2017 due to complications of lung cancer. She was the widow of Johnny Walker. They shared 24 years of marriage together. Born in Tacoma, she was the daughter of Mike and Tonina (Bilanko) Kucich. Marie attended Lincoln High School and became the mother of her only child, Joan Marie, in 1953. She soon became the manager of the Roxie Theater (now the Pantages) for about 10 years. Marie became a homemaker after marrying Johnny, a Tacoma police officer, in 1964. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish for 53 years. Marie is survived by her daughter Joan Marie (Terry) Ryon. Grandchildren, Tina (Mark) Meaney, Nicholas Pavone and Joseph Pavone. Great grandchildren Bryce Meaney, Kyle and Natalie Pavone along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Father and Mother, three siblings and her husband. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 2nd 1:00 at Calvary Cemetery 5212 70th St W in Tacoma. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
