Margaret Hellen Putzulu Obituary

Margaret Hellen Putzulu, 96, of Elkins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the Davis Medical Center in Elkins. Death was following a period of declining health.


Margaret was born June 16, 1920, at Job,WV a daughter of the late Edward and Della White.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Putzulu, on May 10, 1982. Also Preceding her in death are five sisters, Irna Bridges, Georgia Menes, Hazel White, Connie Vance and Anna Bell Butcher, and one brother, Ralph White and three sons-in-law, Wilbert Kittle, Andrew Herron and Wayne Triplett.

She is survived by one brother, Richard White, and one sister Emma Zickefoose. Four daughters, Carol Triplett, Nancy Iseli (Richard), Marie Herron, and Patricia Kittle; three sons, Bill Armentrout, David Putzulu, and Mike Putzulu and; two foster sons, David Lambert (Debbie) and Jeff Putzulu, and one foster daughter, Margaret Brady (Danny), and six generations of family.


She enjoyed shopping, cooking, reading, gardening, and watching soap operas. She was a homemaker, avid walker, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family. Margaret was a member of the St. Brendan Catholic Church at Elkins.


The family would like to thank all the caregivers who took Margaret over the years.


Friends will be received from the Saint Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins on Monday March 27th 2017 from 6-9pm with a wake service to be conducted at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from the church with the Rev. Father Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Brendan Catholic Cemetery at Elkins. It is the honor of the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington to be in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Margaret Hellen Putzulu.
