Helen Mazzei

Helen Louise Mazzei, of Bridgeport, passed away Friday morning, March 24, 2017, at her home. She was born in Farmington, a daughter of the late Matt and Helen Tonkovich. She is survived by one sister, Ann Oliver, of Nutter Fort; and one special niece Missy Oliver and her companion Joe Bezjak with whom she made her home and her Yorkie, Baby Roman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her a sisters, Katie Mullenax and Mary Tonkovich; and five brothers, Joe, Luke, John and Steve, and Mike Tonkovich. Helen was a graduate of Farmington High school and retired from Owens Illinois where she retired in 1978. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Bridgeport Country Club and was also a member of the Seniors Golf Association as well as the Bridgeport Bridge Club. Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 11- 1 pm, where Catholic Burial Rites will be held at 1:00 pm with Father Christopher Turner presiding. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Burnside Funeral Home, Bridgeport
