Eleanor McBee

Martha “Eleanor” (Jeffries) McBee, age 95 of Girl Scout Road, Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 1, 1921 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Leonard A. and Charlotte E. (Klepfel) Jeffries. She is survived by three sons, Glenn F. McBee at home, Edward L. McBee and wife Erin, of Grafton, Roger W. McBee and wife Jackie, of Bridgeport; one daughter, Sharon Miller and husband Wiley, of Reynoldsburg, OH; nine grandchildren, Brittany McBee of Fairmont, Ryan McBee of Grafton, Brandi McBee of Bridgeport, Justin McBee of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeff Miller, Traci Scherr, both of Atlanta, GA, Carrie Keller of OH, Amanda Wininger, Lacy Perdew, both of Baltimore, MD; seven great-grandchildren, Dominic Ford, Sam and Ben Miller, Joel and Chloe Scherr, Henry Keller, and Addison Perdew; two sisters, Janice Adams of Grafton and Norma Linger of Texas; one brother, James Jeffries of OH; and also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Frank McBee; one son, Joseph McBee; one daughter, Joyce McBee Wininger; one great-grandson, Jason McBee; one brother, Brooks Jeffries; and one sister, Mary Jean Bowling Eleanor graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1939. She worked at the Grafton Apparel Manufacturing Company in Grafton and also worked on the assembly line manufacturing B52 planes during WWII. She enjoyed her family, working with her flowers, baking and cooking. The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, September 20th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held on at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Garry Whitescarver officiating. Interment will follow at the Harmony Grove Cemetery in Grafton.
