Paul Kenneth Cross, age 87 of Country Club Road, Grafton, WV passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Wallace B. Murphy Nursing Home in Grafton. He was born February 9, 1929 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Walter Gay Cross and Arlie Mae (Nutter) Cross. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Anna Ellen (Knight) Cross; two sons, Kenny lee Cross and wife Suzanne (Shay)of Homosassa, FL, Paul Edward “Pate” Cross and wife Sherri Lynn of Hurricane, WV; three grandchildren, Rebecca Kenleigh Main , Paul Kenneth Cross, and Anna Elizabeth Cross Newlon; nine great-grandchildren; and also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Paul was a graduate of Grafton High School with the Class of 1947 and he served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the Chessie Railroad Company in Grafton as a Telegraph Operator for 25 years. He was a 50 year Mason with the Grafton Lodge15 A.M. & F.M. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grafton. The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, November 9th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 with Pastor Orville Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton.
