Doris Jean Schoolcraft, 75 of Charleston passed away on September 7, 2016 at home of a sudden illness. Doris was born on November 28, 1940, a daughter of the late Rue and Emma Harris Schoolcraft. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Lois Ann Schoolcraft. Doris is survived by her two nieces, great-niece, and great nephews. Doris as also survived by many friends who loved her deeply. Doris graduated from Pineville High School, in Pineville West Virginia and attended Marshall University. Doris worked in the Charleston area for many years which consisted of working at a Life Insurance Company, Bank, Department Store, and a Low Income Housing Authority. Doris was a member of the Cook Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville, WV and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority. There will be a private graveside service on September 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery in Grantsville, WV with Rev. Jim Lough officiating. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, is in charge of the final arrangements for Ms. Schoolcraft. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
