Ernest Crawford Grantsville, West Virginia Obituary

Ernest Crawford

Ernest Charles Crawford, 69, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2016 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1947, a son of the late Ernest and Gracie Pearl Harden Crawford. There was not a face he count’s put a smile on with his witty personality. He never met a stranger. He told many stories of his friends in Grantsville as he cherished each one. He loved his family and getting to spend time with them, from the games we played to the holiday meals, he cherished every memory. He attended Davisville Community Chapel as often as he could. He is survived by his loving nieces, Nadene Ruble and Sherry Kellar; great-nephew and niece, Larry Ruble and family; Delta Barr and family; Carrie Richmond and family; Charlie Carver and family; Rebecca Poling and family; Robert Donahue and family; and Nicholas Donahue and family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a wonderful step-mother, Olive Stevens Crawford; his sisters, Eloise Shrader, Elodene Batten Kellar, Phyllis Stevens, and many others. The family wishes to send a huge thank you to the staff of the Willows Center for making him a part of your hearts with such wonderful care this past year. A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Seebaugh officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service Wednesday. Interment will be in Betts Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
