Nicholas Shane Murphy, 17, of Arnoldsburg, WV died Monday, January 9, 2017 near his home. He was born January 22, 1999 in Jackson, TN. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Starcher; step-father, Tony Starcher and sister, Haley Murphy all of Arnoldsburg, WV; his father, Shane Murphy and brother, Joshua Murphy of Hendersonville, NC; step-brother, Aidan Starcher of Mineral Wells, WV; grandpa Mike Sinnett of Belpre, Ohio; grandma Cindi Sharp of Lowell, Ohio; grandparents Mike and Mary Murphy of Newport, Ohio; step-grandparents Lela and Jack Starcher of Arnoldsburg, WV and Bob and Lynda Starcher of Davisville, WV. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Calhoun Middle High School auditorium at 4:00 p.m. with Robert Sinnett officiating. Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Nick’s life from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service in the auditorium. Interment will be in Lynch Cemetery.
