Billy Peerce

Billy W. Peerce, 46 of Oak Hill, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 following an extended illness. Born January 11, 1970 in DeKalb, IL to Mary Dearing Bush of Harrodsburg, KY. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Cottrell; nephew, Chase Cottrell; uncles, Toney Dearing and Junior Dearing; stepfather, James Peerce. Billy was a Veteran who served in the United States National Guard, the United States Marine Corps, and the United States Army. He loved his dogs and enjoyed fishing. He was a great man that everyone loved and respected. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara of Oak Hill; children, Ashley Blankenship and husband Andrew of Fayetteville, Jared Peerce, Billy Peerce, Jr., and Aaron Peerce all of Oak Hill; three beautiful and precious grandchildren, Serenity and Christian Flint, and Abigail McKinney; a precious unborn grandson who he will not get to meet, Zane Blankenship; brothers, Jamie Peerce and wife Leah of Bowling Green, KY, Gary Peerce and wife Karen also of Bowling Green, KY; his mother, Mary Bush of KY; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Peerce will be conducted at 7pm Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with military honors conducted by the Oak Hill VFW Honor Guard to follow. In keeping with Billy’s final wishes he will be cremated after the services. Friends may call from 5-7pm at the funeral home on Saturday.
