Clifford Pomeroy

Clifford Lee Pomeroy, 66 of Oak Hill, died Friday January 13, 2017 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill following a long illness. Born March 17, 1950 in Lochgelly, he was the son of the late George C. and Joanne Blethen Pomeroy. Lee was a former technician in the automotive industry in Detroit, Michigan, having worked at both Chrysler and General Motors. He attended the former Summerlee Wesleyan Church and enjoyed drawing, karaoke and especially loved kids. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Lee Pomeroy and also by a brother in law, Gaylon Wilkins. Survivors include five sons; Randy Pomeroy (Pamela), Daniel Pomeroy, Joseph Pomeroy (Sandy), Clifford “Kippy” Pomeroy and Ronald Pomeroy, all of Michigan; two daughters, Rhonda Stonebreaker and Lisa Reed (Charles) both of Michigan; three brothers, George Pomeroy, Michael Pomeroy and Elzie Pomeroy (Jenna) all of Michigan; three sisters, Christine Wilkins of Powell, TN, Belinda Brumley (Rodney) of Michigan and Michelle Dail (David) of Oak Hill; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 16, 2017 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Mitch Landrum officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
