Michael Lee Cox, (AKA Avery Cadle Tredway), 22 of Oak Hill, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his home. Born January 18, 1994 in Beckley, WV and is the son of David Cox, Jr (Misty) of Beaver and Teresa Withrow (Keith) of Oak Hill. Michael never met a stranger and loved to crack jokes and make others laugh. He was always a cheerful young man and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Michael graduated with a 4.0 average from Oak Hill/Midland Trail class of 2012. He will be missed by his family and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Ray and Emma Treadway, Coral Setterl, Bob Waddell; cousin, Garrett Tredway; aunt, Lisa Lilly. In addition to his parents and step-parents, those left to cherish his memory include his blood brother and best friend, David Matthew Cox of Oak Hill; step-sister, Brittany Hosler of Indiana; step brothers, Cameron “Mookie” Cox of Beaver, twins, Dillion and Ethan Parker Dorsey of Beaver, Chase Mills of Oak Hill; grandparents, JoAnn Parsons and companion Kenny Maggard, Randy Cox (Charlotte) of Shady Spring, Steve and Vicki Setterl of Oak Hill, Sandra and Leon Tredway, Nadine Kenworthy; cousins, Bryson Setterl, Brooke Setterl, Camren, Kaylee, Bradley, Austyn, and Case Cook, Kelsey and Jeffery Cox, Trey Winner; great grandparetns, Ray and Betty Cox; uncles, Steve Setterl (Lyndsae), Jeff Cook of Oak Hill and Nathan (Amanda) Cook of Georgia; aunts, Amy Songer (John) of Beckley Stephanie (Drew) Winner of Arizona, and Melissa Kees (Mike) of Oak Hill; nieces and nephews, Kelsey Edwards and husband Ryan , Jeffery Edwards (Bri), McKinzey Edwards; brothers and sisters of love, Tristan Laramee, Cameron “Turkey” Webb, Jamie Massey, Jordan Massey, Josh Massey, Samantha Davis, Allyson Watson, and the boys in Bridgemont Diesel College Services will be conducted at 11am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with interment following at High Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be on Friday, October 7 from 6-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his family during the visitation.
