Robert Hudson

Robert R. “Shotgun” “Boo” Hudson, 83 of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on October 28, 1933 in Burnwell, WV to the late Teddy and Ethel Hudson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Yoho; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Hudson was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed going to McDonalds to spend time with friends. When in the hospital he was known as a “flirt” with the nurses and the nurses would always fight over which one was going to assist him. Mr. Hudson leaves behind his children, Roberta Jean Hudson of IN, Kathy Sue List and husband Terry of FL, Sharon Hudson of Fayetteville, Bruce Hudson and wife Sherri of CA, Angela Hudson of GA, and Renee Pruitt and husband Randy of SC; brother and sister, Harold Hudson and Inez Hudson; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Hudson will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor William McClung officiating. Interment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park also in Oak Hill where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may gather from 12-2pm on Thursday at High Lawn Funeral Home.
