Bernard Anderson

Bernard A. ‘Bun’ Anderson, age 81 of LaValle passed away on January 4, 2017 at the V.A. hospital in Tomah, after having Alzheimer’s and pneumonia. He was born on September 21, 1935 to Edward and Margaret (Rockweiler) Anderson in Cazenovia, WI. He graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1954, after which he enlisted and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. He married Mary Timmons in April of 1958. He was self-employed putting in basements for new houses for years, after which he sold cars until his retirement 20 years later. Bun enjoyed taking his Mustang to car shows, going deer hunting and collecting bobble-heads along with sports memorabilia. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary His son: Daniel (Theresa) Anderson and their children; Sabrina (Robert) Seipp, Jason, Joshua and Samantha. His daughter: Lorri (Dan ‘Butch’) Rufenacht and their children; Travis (Amanda) Wolf, Tanya (Jeff) Kaminski, Holly (Kris) and Daniel His Great Grandchildren: Austin Anderson, Jonathan and Joseph Kaminski His Sisters: Kitty Fish, Bonnie Bill and Alice (Dennis) Heiling A Brother: Harold ‘Axle’ Anderson A Sister-in-law: Julane Lunde A Brother-in-law: Don Hanson Many nieces, nephews and friends. His best Friend, Wayne Blinston His baseball player friend, Joe Jax; and both have been friends for years. He was preceded in death by brothers; Delbert, Harvey, Leon and Alfred ‘Fritz’ Anderson; and Sisters, Arlene Berberich, Leona Anderson, Virginia Ferari and Lorraine Hanson. His grandson Joseph Anderson. A memorial funeral mass will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Holy Family Catholic Church, LaValle with Fr. Scott Emerson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, Jan 14th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the Mass. Burial will be made in Oak Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to Tomah VA Care Center in lieu of flowers. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the church services.
