Cynthia Lynn Gasser, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at UW-Madison Hospital after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born October 4, 1959, along with her twin sister Sandy, in Reedsburg, WI the daughter of Roy ‘Smokey’ Gasser and Katharine (Titus) Gasser. Cindy was raised in the Carr Valley area and was a 1977 graduate of Weston High School. She had a very successful career in Sales/Advertising in both newspaper and at the conception of the cellphone business. Cindy won several awards for her outstanding work in sales and enjoyed traveling with her career. The last few years were spent doing event planning with her dear friend, Scott Teuber. She enjoyed riding motorcycle and being around her friends. She always wanted to make others happy. Cindy also enjoyed spending winters in Puerto Rico with Scott and doing her art work while on the beach. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Gasser and Katharine Schultz; grandparents; aunts and uncles. She is survived by: Siblings, Lenny (Marianne) Gasser of La Valle, Judy (Larry) Schultz of Reedsburg, Patti (CB) Fuhrman of Reedsburg, Sandy Cole of Reedsburg; Step-Father, James Schultz of La Valle; Nieces and Nephews, Michael (Abby) Gasser, Dusty Gasser, Andy Gasser, Jenna (Jarren) Schultz, Jared Schultz (Caitlin McKinstry), Dan (Amanda) Ripley, Ryan (Sierra) Fuhrman, Brad (Allison) Fuhrman, Dylan and Taylor Cole; Along with several great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Cindy also had a multitude of dear friends, especially Scott Teuber who never left her side during her illness. She is also survived by her cats, Emma and Maggie Mae. A Memorial Service for Cynthia L. Gasser will be conducted on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cazenovia Chapel with Father Scott Emerson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Cazenovia Chapel and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Cazenovia Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Ironton, WI. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
