Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helen Cruse, 77 ,of Winnsboro, LA will be held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Joe Senn and Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Mrs. Cruse was born January 08, 1929 inWinnsboro, LA and passed away Friday September 08, 2006 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center West Monroe. She was a resident of Winnsboro and the retired owner and director of Rosalee Nursing Home in Wisner.
She was preceded in Death by: Husbands Clovis E. Sturdivant and J.F. Cruse, Parents- Doll and Beryle Eddis Temple.
Survivors include: 2 sons-Dr. Clovis H. Sturdivant and wife Susan of Winnfield; Tiger Cruse and fiance' Sabrina of West Monroe; Daughter-Eddis Poland and husband Larry of Crowville. also survived by: 6 grandchildren-Diana Killingsworth, Theresa Poland, Victoria Jade Cruse, Jeremy Sturdivant, Shelley Sturdivant, and Leah Sturdivant. 4 great-grandchildren-DeVonne Poland, Karsyn Killingsworth, Bailey Killingsworth, and Landon Sturdivant. Pallbearers were Sam Delacerda, Jeremy Sturdivant, Ronnie Hatten, Brooks Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, and Dr. Tom Colvin. The Honorary Pallbearers were Bubba Smith, Doug Foy, and Dr. Mike Tucker. The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2006. To leave online condolences or a memorial please visit
