Madeline Daily

Madeline M. Daily of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Grays Harbor Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 97. Madeline was born February 29, 1912 in Memphis, Tennessee to General Lee Wright and Virgie (Calliham) Wright. Madeline was raised in Memphis and attended Cummings Grammar School. In 1929 she married Charles E. Daily. He passed away in 1970. Mrs. Daily was a homemaker and a Sunday school teacher for over 70 years; she had attended East Memphis Church of God before moving to Grays Harbor in 2005 to be near her daughter Frances. She enjoyed singing and crocheting. She was an excellent seamstress and gardener. Mrs. Daily is survived by her daughter Frances E. Marzioli of Cosmopolis, WA; son, Terrell E. Daily of Sikeston, MO; son-in-law, John Marquet of Old Hickory, TN; sister, Rebecca Wright of Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Marquet and 11 siblings. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Forest Hill Funeral Home . She will be laid to rest beside her husband Charles E. Daily at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
