Eric Evan Williams, son of Virden Joe Williams and Patsy Sue (Paul) Becker, was born October 11, 1971 in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life the evening of July 19, 2008 as the result of injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident at the junction of Hwy C and 42 in Miller County, Missouri. He had attained the age of 36 years, 9 months and 9 days. Eric’s girlfriend, Leslie Brake was also killed in the accident. Eric grew up in the Camdenton, Missouri area where he was a 1989 graduate of Camdenton High School. Eric accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized as a young man. He became an ordained Baptist Minister in 2001. Eric spent most of his working years in the kitchens of area restaurants. He loved the outdoors. Eric will be very sadly missed by his mother: Patsy Becker of Richland, MO; his father: Virden Williams of Columbia, MO; one brother: Terry Lynn Becker of Camdenton, MO; grandmother: Susie Paul of Laquey, MO; his children: Eric Williams, II and Aaron Michael Williams both of Salem, IL and Justin Walters of Richland, MO; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Eric was preceded in death by a baby son: Anthony Michael Williams; grandfather: Hershel Paul; grandparents: Henry and Lavern Williams; great grandparents: Baker and Opal Wilson and Joe and Hattie Belle Oursbourn and two uncles: Johnny Williams and Roger Dale Paul. Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Richland, Missouri with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Services were under the direction of Richland Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eric Evan Williams and may be left at the Richland Memorial Chapel.
