James Budney, Sr.

James Joseph Budney Sr., formally of Cold Spring, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the age of 76 surrounded by his family. He was born in Cold Spring, NY on June 19, 1933. Jim was a 1952 graduate of Haldane High School. He served honorably in the US Navy on the USS Vulcan (R-5). In his civilian life, he was a successful businessman in the heating and air conditioning field. Jim retired to Fl 18 years ago and spent the last 16 years volunteering at Holy Name of Jesus Church and Ascension Church as their HVAC consultant. Jim was predeceased by his parents William and Mary Budney. He is survived by his devoted spouse of 56 years, Margaret Budney of Indian Harbour Beach, FL and his five loving children, James and Denise Budney Jr. of China Springs, TX , Douglas and Margaret Budney of Cold Spring, NY, Missy and Anthony Paolicelli of Tarrytown, NY, Judy and David Lagasse of Roswell, GA, and Susan and Gordon Tyler of Chesnut Ridge, NY. Jim was also the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, William J Budney of NJ . A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:30am a Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or Holy Name of Jesus Building Fund, 3050 N Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903
