Milton Lee Collins, Sr. was born September 12, 1932 in Onancock, Virginia. He was the son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Collins. He departed this life for eternal rest on Thursday, July 31, 2008. During his early years, he joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wardtown, Virginia. He was educated in the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia. Milton was a passionate lover of nature and the outdoors. He was a self-employed farmer until his death.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Collins of Onancock, VA: one sister, Maelena Benjamin of CT; seven children, Olivia Heath Parker, Mary Frances Heath and Margaret Reid, all of Painter, VA, Milton (Vera) Heath of Salisbury, MD, Wayne L. (Deborah) Heath, Sr. of Pungoteague, VA, Michele Green of Rockmart, GA, and Milton Lee (Laurie) Collins, Jr. of Austell, GA; two step-sons, Clarence Davis of Richmond, VA and Randolph Davis of Hampton, VA; twelve grandchildren, ShaCorey Parker, Shantell Heath, Tiffany Heath, Anastasia Reid, Denzell Reid, Tyra Giddens, DeVaune Heath, Lamont Richard, Markesh Reid, Kelly Savage, Wayne Heath, Jr., and Trevor Fosque; thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lewis Collins, John Collins, and George Collins; four sisters, Mary Frances Lewis, Roberta Rogers, Novella Luke, and Myrtle Johnson.
