Charles “Eddie” Gobble, age 38, of 2907 Plymouth Road, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his residence. A native of Johnson City, he was a son of Mary Alice Gobble, Johnson City, and the late Clarence D. Gobble. He was a loving a son and caretaker for his Mother. In addition to his father, Eddie is survived by one brother and one sister.
Survivors include Six Sisters, Kathy West and husband Donald, Beverly Gobble and Fiancé Scott, Donna Morton and husband, Roger, Sandy Auton and husband David Bowser, Lori Reed and Husband Terry McKee, and Barbara Hartley and husband Dallas; four brothers, Ronnie Gobble, Allen Gobble and wife Hallie, Bo and Brandy Gobble, and Kenny Gobble and wife Gretchen; Wife Jennifer Gobble. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Eddie Gobble will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2010 from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Morgan and Pastor Todd Ellis officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Bread of Life Worship Team. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home. The graveside service and internment will be follow the funeral service at Gobble Family Cemetery, Johnson City. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Shelton, Dave Bowser, Dallas Hartley, Roger Morton, Donald West, and Terry McKee. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie West and Scott Curtis.
